Overall very pleased with this flap. I have had the bulkier option by the same brand with a hard flap and a switch to set the open/closed feature but I prefer this model for a number of reasons. 1. Quite - the soft flap very little noise when our dog jumps through. 2. The softer flap is much kinder on his nose. 3. The metal sliding door makes it obvious it is closed. Our dog damaged the switch on the previous flap because we forgot to turn it a few times. 4. Very slim. An excellent product which I highly recommend.
